Nachani Dosa Recipe a.k.a Raagi Dosa, Nachni Ghawan or Nachani Dhirda

NACHANI (RAAGI ) DOSA / DHIRDA / GHAWAN RECIPE:
This is one of the most healthy breakfast. Raagi ( Nachani ) is good source of calcium and iron. This helps in bone development and fight anemia hence we recommend this dish for your younger children.

Time : 20 mins

Serves: 4 People

Ingredients:

1 cup Nachani ( Raagi ) Flour
1/2 cup Urad daal ( Split black gram )
1/2 cup Rice Flour
7,8 Methi seeds ( Fenugreek seeds)
2 table-spoon Salt
1 tea-spoon oil

Method:

  • Soak Nachani flour and rice flour together with water in bowl 1 overnight or for minimum 5 hrs.
  • Also soak Urad daal and methi seeds together with water in bowl 2 overnight or for minimum 5 hrs.
  • Next day grind Urad daal and methi seeds together. Add 1/4th Cup water while grinding.Make sure is should be consistent enough to form a dosa.
  • Mix this batter into bowl 1 containing nachani and rice flour. 
  • Add salt and Mix it well.
  • Heat pan, sprinkle oil over a pan. 
  • Spread batter evenly in circular motion to form a thin dosa.
  • Once one side is cooked flip the dosa and cook other side. Please note as this contain Nachani flour which is very sticky it needs to be cooked on both the sides.
  • Serve hot with chutney.
